First Nations
At JRCC, we work in partnership with our First Nation clients throughout every stage of a project. Client representatives are actively involved in key design decisions, ensuring the final solution reflects community goals, operational needs, and long-term maintenance considerations.
We involve the entire Project Team, including local community representatives and operators, to tailor designs to the site and its environment. First Nation committees and organizations are encouraged to participate directly in the process.
Our approach respects and incorporates First Nation views, traditions, and concerns. JRCC has been an industry leader in ensuring that our project specifications support community involvement and local economic opportunities, including policies on local labour, equipment, and person-hours, as well as respect for traditional holidays.
We aim to build strong, lasting relationships with all our First Nation clients.
Land Acknowledgement
JR Cousin Consultants acknowledges that our work takes place on the ancestral lands of
Indigenous Peoples across Manitoba and southern Ontario, including Treaty and non-ceded
territories and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We recognize the enduring
relationship Indigenous Nations have with these lands and the importance of working
respectfully within the communities we serve.
