Wastewater Treatment Lagoon Expansion and Upgrade with Aeration Cells
The RM wastewater treatment lagoon is approaching its capacity and requires expansion and upgrading to meet stricter environmental regulations and design Year 20 (2032) loadings.
JRCC completed a feasibility study for an aerated wastewater treatment lagoon. The study included a phosphorous compliance plan and lagoon expansion design criteria along with associated costs for upgrades. Upgrades include an aeration system two aeration cells, filtration, and UV disinfection. A building will be constructed to house the aeration and treatment equipment and will include an office, washroom, etc. The project is currently under construction with completion anticipated in summer 2017.
