THM Study
JRCC completed a multiple-stage chlorine dioxide pilot testing project for the Island Lake First Nation water treatment plant. The project’s duration was more than one year and included water quality assessment studies and several stages of the trials. The plant previously had high THM counts, and the use of chlorine dioxide was shown to be successful in eliminating THM concerns. The project also included a thorough review and assessment of chlorine dioxide generation methods.
JRCC provided testing/piloting protocols for THM removal that would provide design and process alternatives to reduce THMs to below regulatory limits.
